Order. Order. Welcome to the treasury select committee on Wednesday, 04/15/2026. We're here today to have a pre commencement hearing on the appointment of the deputy governor for prudent prudential regulation at the Bank of England, and the candidate in front of us is Catherine Braddock. I should be clear, we have no veto over miss Braddock's appointment, but we are able to raise positive and area issues and issues of any concern we may have or comments we may want to make about appointment miss Braddock.
So I really thank you very much first of all for answering our questionnaire for your CV which are both being published just now or about being published as we speak. I just wanted to to pick up really that because your background has been very much recently at Barclays Bank

Where you were including being a senior adviser to the group CEO and chairman on policy, relationship management, and execution in relation to all governments and relate regulators within the group's footprint, which is quite a broad job. So you've got to jump from that position to this gatekeeper position in effect. Are there any areas of Barclays policy that you disagree with personally on financial regulation and its reform in the K? What you'd like
