In accordance with the applicable rules, we will now conclude in open session. For the first five items adopted, the results of the votes will be displayed on the television screens in this room, and on the Internet on the video streaming page of the council. Any statements will be entered into the minutes of this meeting. So we begin with the adoption of the Packaged Travel Directive. This directive strengthens consumers' rights.

Reduces burdens for operators and clarifies the obligations of travel package organizers on issues such as refunds, insolvency protection, and the use of vouchers. The council should now be able to approve the European Parliament's position as set out in document P cons 426. You can now see the results of the votes displayed. I note that the required qualified majority has been reached, and that the act is adopted. We continue with the adoption of an amendment to the regulation setting CO2 emissions performance standards for heavy duty vehicles.

This regulation responds to concerns expressed by the automotive sector by providing additional flexibility for manufacturers to facilitate compliance with the emissions reduction targets applicable as of 2030. The council should now be able to approve the European Parliament's position as this is set out in document P cons 1226. The results of the vote are now displayed. I note that the required qualified majority has been reached, and that the act is adopted. This is the first file concluded during the Cyprus presidency in the environment sector.

Now we will adopt an amendment to the regulation as regards the external action guarantee. This amendment aims to make an external action guarantee more efficient by making better use of existing resources in support of the EU external action priorities, as well as investments outside the Union. The council should now be able to approve the European Parliament's position as this is set out in document B cons 826. You can now see the results of the vote displayed on the screens. Great.
