Good afternoon, dear colleagues. It is my pleasure to welcome you all to this first joint meeting of the Committee on Transport and Tourism together with the Committee of Environment, Climate and Food Safety and the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection.
If there is no objections, the draft agenda can be adopted. As I see, I do not see any objections, we can proceed. Dear members, the item on our joint agenda is the presentation by the Commission of the automotive omnibus proposal. Before we give the floor to the Commission, we would like to clarify the procedure for this file.
For this file, following a proposal by the coordinators of our three committees and in accordance with Rule 52, paragraph 2 of the Rules of Procedure, we propose to set a deadline for tabling amendments to the Commission's proposal without a draft report having first been drawn up. There are no objections, so now I give the floor to ENVI Chair Pierfrancesco Majorino to deliver his opening remarks.
