New York — On Thursday, July 9, the Center for American Progress will host “ Mapping Disabled People’s Access to the Polls ,” a discussion and demonstration of CAP’s new, first-of-its-kind Accessible Democracy Tracker, an interactive tool that maps barriers to voting access for disabled Americans across the country. The event will explore how policymakers, advocates, and election officials can strengthen accessibility and protect the fundamental right to vote ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The event will feature a demonstration of the tracker followed by a panel discussion with leading disability rights and voting access experts examining the state of accessible democracy in America and the challenges disabled voters continue to face.
