Ukraine and Lithuania launch Brave Lithuania grant programme

Ukraine and Lithuania are launching a joint grant initiative, Brave Lithuania, to accelerate defenсe tech innovation. A letter of intent formally establishing the programme was signed by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defence Serhii Boiev and Lithuania’s Vice Minister of National Defence Vitalija Zumerienė. The initiative is structured to deepen integration between the defence innovation ecosystems of both nations. It also aims to expedite the deployment of advanced technologies tailored to modern warfare requirements. The grant programme will fund Ukrainian and Lithuanian advancements in uncrewed systems, electronic warfare (EW), artificial intelligence, tactical communication networks, and other critical defence technology sectors. Brave Lithuania will also facilitate joint hackathons for developers, foster the scouting of novel technological solutions, and cultivate strategic partnerships between Ukrainian and Lithuanian defence enterprises and innovators. On the Ukrainian side, the programme’s implementation will be managed by Brave1, the state defence tech cluster. Earlier, Defender Media reported on the launch of the first European equivalent to the Brave1 Market, a platform that already features several prominent Ukrainian manufacturers.
