Ukrainian company Tencore and the French firm Shark Robotics have signed a memorandum of cooperation to advance ground robotics for security and defence as part of the Build with Ukraine initiative, according to a company statement . The document provides for the joint development of production and technological solutions, leveraging the combat experience gained in Ukraine. The partnership aims to integrate advancements in military robotics and civil protection into large-scale production. The collaboration encompasses a broad spectrum of applications for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). In the military domain, this includes frontline logistics, casualty evacuation (CASEVAC/MEDEVAC), ammunition and equipment transport, engineering tasks, and combat support. In the civilian sector, focus will be placed on firefighting in high-risk areas, personnel protection for emergency services, securing critical infrastructure, and ensuring public safety. In France, the focus will be on the development and manufacture of defence robotics — specifically for logistics and medical evacuation — incorporating Ukrainian operational feedback. A portion of this output will be supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces through donor-funded programmes. In Ukraine, an industrial and service hub will be established to handle maintenance, personnel training, and the progressive localisation of components, including the integration of a European supply chain. The partnership’s technological foundation combines the core competencies of both firms. Tencore solutions are already proven on the battlefield, with thousands of TerMIT robots deployed for logistics, evacuation, and engineering missions. Shark Robotics contributes extensive expertise in robotics for extreme environments, notably with its ‘Colossus’ platform, which is utilised by emergency services and industrial operators in more than 25 countries.
