1 Policy Communication Trainee at European Metals European Metals is the industry association representing non-ferrous metals producers, transformers and recyclers in Europe, bringing together the full value chain under one umbrella. We work to advance a secure, sustainable and competitive European metals ecosystem that supports Europe’s green and digital transformations. Policy Communications Trainee European Metals is looking for a Policy Communications Trainee to support the Communications team in promoting the organisation's visibility and advancing its mission. The trainee will report to the Corporate Affairs Director and work closely with the Policy team. Main Responsibilities • Draft engaging content for the organisation's social media channels (LinkedIn and Instagram), monitor performance and analytics. • Contribute to the design and production of communication materials. • Support the maintenance and regular updating of the organisation's website. • Support communication activities related to EU-funded projects. • Assist in the coordination, and distribution of the members' newsletter. • Help organise internal and external meetings and events, including logistical coordination and post-event reporting. • Assist the Events team in the organisation and delivery of both in-person and online events. • Contribute with creative ideas and insights during communication planning and brainstorming sessions. Candidate Profile The successful candidate should have: • EU citizenship. • Excellent written and spoken English (near-native proficiency), with strong writing and editing skills. -- 1 of 2 -- 2 • Knowledge of communications, social media management, and analytics tools. • A good understanding of the EU policy landscape. Knowledge of legislation and policy relating to metals, energy, trade, sustainability, or industrial policy would be considered an asset. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • A proactive, creative, and detail-oriented mindset. • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
