Please be seated, dear colleagues. Alright. We're just on time. Dear colleagues, and dear guests, I would like to warm welcome executive, vice president, Hannah Wirkunen, to our committee meeting, today. The purpose of today's exchange of views, is twofold.
First, to discuss the intention announced in the European Commission's work program to withdraw two proposals of particular importance to the Committee of Legal Affairs. First is the proposal for a directive on adapting non contractual liability rules to artificial intelligence. And second, to proposal, the proposal for a regulation on standard essential patterns. Secondly, this exchange will serve as a timely occasion, for the annual structured, dialogue, providing an opportunity to, discuss other key priorities. In particular, the committee wishes to address reduction of administrative burdens in EU legislation and the enhancement of the copyright framework to respond effectively to emerging challenges arising from market and technological developments.
Dear Hannah, with my first initial awards, I would like to give you the four for about fifteen minutes, and then, you'll, have a chance to answer the first set of questions coming mostly from the coordinators. Honorable members of Yuri Committee, it's a great pleasure to be here today with you and discuss with you about your main priorities when it comes to technologies and, no, especially of the technological field, of course, but that's, as a whole for commission's work program as as well. So I I thought that in my opening remarks, I will focus to two main topics, to artificial intelligence and then to simplification process. And then, of course, I'm very willing to hear hear your feedback and questions and continue the discussion with you.
