Good morning. Welcome. And let me start with content to mention three issues. First of all, on the Ukraine development.
From an EPP point of view, I want to underline that, the support for Ukraine is, and has to be without any further condition. So whatever others decide in the next upcoming weeks and months, we saw the developments from Washington, the one-sided issues, then, the European Union has to be ready to step in and to compensate even some issues from the American side. So I just want to underline, that from our point of view, Ukraine must fully count on the solidarity from the European Union. Comprehensive sustainable peace is what we want have in want to want to see achieved. On the tariffs side, the second big issue in this moment of time, just want to support the European Commission and their efforts to put the options on the table.
You remember that the European Commission was ready to start talks about zero tariffs zone between the European Union and US. The European Union now offered the consideration to buy more products from the to lower the trade deficit from an American point of view. So from our side, it's important to not waste the nineteen days we have in this moment of time. We understand it's quite difficult to engage with the American friends also to find the right contact point on the American side. But from our side, it's important to show the readiness to, engage and to find a solution.
