Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Keeping people safe online at moments of real danger is a top priority for this government. That's why we have asked Ofcom to expedite their work on updates to their codes of practice under the Online Safety Act. All services face strict duties to deal with illegal content. Of course, it is right that platforms with a greater risk of viral content spreading have to do even more to prepare for and manage periods of heightened risk.
