Cameras are on, so we now continue in open session for legislation. For each item adopted, the results of the votes will be displayed on the television screens in the room and on the internet and on the video streaming page of the Council. We begin with the adoption of an amendment to the regulation on certain provisions for fishing in the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean agreement area. This regulation incorporates into EU law the fisheries conservation and management measures recommended by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The Council should now be able to approve the European Parliament's position as set out in document PE-CONS 26/26.
And we'll display the vote now, please. So I note that the required qualified majority has been reached and that this act is now adopted. Secondly and finally, we're going to adopt the regulation on joint regional fisheries management organization transpositions. This regulation transposes into EU law the conservation and management measures adopted by the regional fisheries management organizations, ensuring up-to-date application of international fisheries obligations by the European Union. The Council should now be able to approve the European Parliament's position as set out in 28/26.
And we then display the results of the vote.
I note the required qualified majority has now been reached and this act is adopted. With this, the list of legislative A items is approved and this concludes the agenda item. We'll keep the cameras on because it's also a legislative item. I'm going to start our discussions with a presidency AOB on the state of play on the Omnibus simplification packages. I'm going to continue in the Irish language if that's okay.
