Numeracy for Life Committee House of Lords
00:00 - 00:55
Speaker 1
Welcome to the latest hearing for the Numeracy for Life Committee and welcome to our witnesses today.
Thank you all very much for coming. As I was just saying to my colleagues, I think this is a particularly important session because you represent the crucible of administrative delivery for anything that might happen in the future. So that's why I'm keen to hear from you all. And I'm going to do the first question along those lines and starting with Mr. Smith. Can you just explain the new landscape for the oversight of adult skills and programs such as Multiply, which were specifically focused around numeracy?
And I know you're newly appointed or newly created, so perhaps you could just set the scene.

Speaker 2
Yeah, well, good morning and thank you for the opportunity. And I'm sure that the rest of the team can give some perspective on this, but just specifically to ground where Skills England fits. So, you know, it's very occupational-based.
