Speaker 1
Order.  Order.  Good afternoon, and welcome to the women in equality select committee.  Today, we're holding an oral evidence session on the experiences of women in live comedy.  And before I introduce the witnesses, I also want to be able to welcome the DCMS select committee chair, Caroline Dynej, back to women in equalities Hi.

Who will be joining us as well today.  And we're gonna hear from Ola Libib, comedian and writer.  She's down the line.  Hello, Ola.  And we've got Nina Gilligan, comedian and co founder of Get Off Live Comedy.

Hello.  Hello.  And Rachel Healy, journalist, The Guardian, and The Observer.  Welcome to you all.  Before I start the session, we will be talking about some really difficult content during this evidence session and some of it may be distressing and difficult to hear.

So I want to stress some caution for people that may be watching online, anybody in the room, including committee members.  If you feel that you need to just take a step out, just do so, and come back in when you're ready.  And thank you all for coming, and really welcome to our our committee.  And I'm gonna hand straight over to David.
