Order. Order. Well, welcome everybody to the latest meeting of the environmental audit committee. I'm delighted to say that this is our first evidence session on our new inquiry into air quality. We have two panels joining us today.
The first panel is in front of us now. We have Sarah Legg, who is the vice chair from the environmental policy implementation community, and professor Martin Clift, bio professor in biomedical sciences from Swansea University. You're both very welcome and thank you for joining us. If I could start by just encouraging you to introduce yourselves and particularly your knowledge and experience in this particular area. So start with yourself and Maymrs Legg.

Great. Thank you. And thank you for inviting me today to give evidence on this inquiry. My name is Sarah Legg. I'm a chartered environmentalist.
I've got thirty years experience working on air quality policy and projects. I've been the head of air quality at the Greater London Authority. I've been as associate director at AARIP, and I've also run my own consultancy specializing in air quality and sustainable transport. I'm here today representing the Institute of, institution of environmental sciences, which is the global professional membership body for environmental scientists and practitioners, and that includes the institution, the institute I'm sorry. The institute of Air Quality Management and also EPIC, of which I'm vice chair.
