Transport Committee House of Commons
00:02 - 00:40
Speaker 4
Order. Order. Welcome to this morning's evidence session. This is the first evidence session of the committee's inquiry into the government's road safety strategy. We'll be scrutinizing the key components of the strategy, including ambitions and targets, to inform the next stages of our inquiry.
We're aware that there may be references to distressing topics. And also, please, everyone, witnesses and members, do not mention individual cases where there may be ongoing legal proceedings. So could I start by asking each of the panel to introduce themselves? Steve.
00:40 - 00:45
Speaker 28
I'm Steve Call. I'm the director of policy and impact at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
00:46 - 00:51
Speaker 10
Jamie Hassell, executive director of PACS, which is the parliamentary advisory council for transport safety.
