So, as I said, I'm representing Montenegro, and it's a great pleasure that we are here. This is a great opportunity for us to once again make all the points about why we are the most advanced among all the candidate countries for EU accession. As you know, yesterday Montenegro closed five more chapters. So, in total, today we have closed 12 chapters out of 33. We are fully aligning our foreign security policy with that of the EU, and we are very hopeful that we will enter the EU as a 28th member state by 2028.

We are also very much hoping that during the Cypriot presidency of the EU Council, the EU will start the drafting of the accession treaty for Montenegro, and this is going to be a major step towards the final fully fledged membership of our country into the EU.
