Childhood Vaccinations Committee House of Lords

00:01 - 01:32
Speaker 1
Welcome to today's meeting.  This is the eighth oral evidence session as part of the committee's inquiry into childhood vaccination rates in England.  Thank you to professor Victoria Totsu Brown and doctor Katie Bramall, who are joining us in person, and Kim Ball for attending online.  Session's open to the public.  It's broadcast live, and subsequently, it will be accessible on the parliamentary website.

A verbatim transcript will be taken of the evidence, and it will be published on the website.  And a few days after the session, we'll be sending it to our witnesses.  And if you have any small changes that you need to make, please advise us of that.  And if after this session there's anything further you'd like to tell us, any further evidence or amplify a point that you've made during the session, please feel free to do that.  So I'm going to ask you the first question, if I may.

And don't forget, please do introduce yourselves before you answer the substantive question.  And the question is, how effectively do GP practices deliver core childhood vaccination services?  And how has it changed over recent years?  And what are the main challenges for effective support and delivery, of, these programs?  And what would be the best way to overcome the challenges?

So, if you don't mind, I'd like to use first names.  Is that all right?  Of course.  So, Katie, perhaps you could start.
