Intervenant 1
Sister Jane, for many years the work of Catholic sisters has been transforming local communities quietly. Can you share some thoughts with us on why it's important that Catholic sisters tell their own stories rather than allowing others to tell them? And can you also share something with us about the Pentecost project, which helps to train Catholic sister communicators?

Intervenant 2
I would like to begin about telling the stories of Catholic sisters. In an age where we have increasingly use of digital communication, it is important for the sisters to tell their own stories. For a long time other people told the stories of the sisters according to their perspective. But sisters have the experience, they live in the communities within where they serve, in the rural, in the inner city communities, but also in the margins. And their experience in those spaces cannot be explained authentically by others, but by themselves.
So giving a pen for the sisters to tell those stories according to their experience and how they have accompanied the individuals that they serve gives it authenticity. They are trusted in these communities. They give agency to the people that they serve. Therefore, within the areas of digital communication, I have seen sisters having capacity and ability to tell those stories in a way that is compelling, the way they continue the mission of Christ, healing the brokenhearted, bringing good news to the poor, liberty to captives, and proclaiming God's year of favor, because that year of favor is proclaimed in the villages where they serve by them being present among these people. We have the Pentecost project that we support through the partnership with the Dicastery for Communication.
I have seen this project bring diverse cultures, diverse languages together, communicated every week in ten languages. These stories come from Ukraine, from Africa, from Asia, from other rural places that maybe no person knew that the sisters were existing there, giving hope to communities, living love within these communities, and restoring hope and joy. We see this project helping to amplify the leadership, the voices of the sisters, and the stories of the people they serve. And for me, this is one way of evangelization, because these stories are giving hope, these stories are lifting the face of the sisters, not as people only to be found in the chapel, but also to be found in the margin where they are accompanying the people, living the mission of the church and the charisms of their own communities. All these stories restore cultural harmony, particularly when the sisters are working with these communities.
