But now, as promised, it is time to invite up the President of the EIB Group, Nadia Calviño, who's here in the room with us. So a warm welcome to her. Take a seat. Great to have you here. So thank you so much for being with us.

We've had a very busy morning. We heard a lot about the Draghi report, about how Europe wants to be a global leader. But of course, to get there, it needs between 750 and 800 billion euro in extra investment. We know, and we've said it many times today, productivity is lagging, growth is lagging, so is innovation. Do you think that the EU is really a global leader or just a serial follower?

Hi Maeve, hi everyone. It's such a great pleasure to participate one year, one more year, you know, again here in and to be back home. And I'm going to start very strong. I'm going to tell you the European Union is a superpower. And it is a global leader.

And the ecosystem of startups in Europe is second to none. Universities, research centers, global leaders in key sectors. We signed a very important deal Monday this week with Airbus, which happens to be the world leader in aerospace. Every week from the European Investment Bank, we are signing deals, we are providing financing for projects that are going to be key for the competitiveness and the security of Europe in the future. And the only thing we need is scale and speed.
