Hi Paula, many happy returns. My question is on customs. On the first of July, the Commission published a delegated act on the 3 euro flat fee for cheap packages that went into effect immediately. The customs is to give market participants 20 days after publication before the amended legislation goes into force. So what was the reason not to do so on this occasion?

So indeed we have discussed this topic also yesterday, so for a general reference to that I would invite you to look back. On your question specifically, this was a well-known date for entry into force. In these months since the announcement of this measure, we have been working very closely with member states to ensure that the legal and digital tools are ready and we do not envisage delays. So this is why the date has been maintained. In any case, for new measures there is a transition period.
