Intervenant 1
Good afternoon and welcome to our midday briefing. We have a few announcements, so I would like to start with Thomas, who has some news on the Commission's latest decision under the Digital Services Act. Thomas.

Intervenant 2
Thank you, Paula. So today, the Commission preliminarily found TikTok in breach of the DSA for failing to ensure safe accounts for minors. Let's start with the positive. TikTok has default settings for minors' accounts, with a clear distinction. Younger minors from 13 to 15 have a private account by default.
Older minors from 16 to 17 can choose between private or public accounts. These steps go into the right direction, but they are not effective enough. Here's why. Younger minors, so from 13 to 15, can easily on TikTok change their default settings from private to public. We do not accept this because at that age, you must stay private.
Older minors from 16 to 17 who choose to have a public account can be seen by anyone on the internet. We do not accept this. And content of these public accounts for kids aged 16 and 17 is recommended on the For You feed. Again, we do not accept this because children's content must never be visible to strangers. If TikTok does not take these additional steps, minors are exposed to predators, to grooming, and to cyberbullying.
