European Commission Commission européenne

My question will be for Thomas. Razia Akotch, AFP news agency. There has been a letter by MEP Stéphanie Yon-Courtin and signed by 51 other MEPs that has been sent yesterday to Madam President von der Leyen. And it's on the issue of the Meta settlement. And they are quite critical.
Basically, they are asking Madam President to, for her Commission to act faster. Because after, it seems, I mean, we all know the answer, the US seems to, US courts, sorry, seem to have got something faster than the European Union did. And so they're telling the EU, or telling the European Commission, to see the investigation from 2024 without further delay. There should be a non-compliance decision, there should be penalties, and should there be commitments, they want it to be no, they don't want them to fall short of what Meta has granted to American users. I mean, I assume you've seen this letter, so I don't need to read it in full.
But just to make sure I get answers to the, to the parts that I'm curious about. What is the European Commission doing to make sure that European children, taking for granted that the conclusions of the European Commission have been fair, which you'll argue, you'll say that children are at risk. So what are you doing to make sure that what has been given to American children will be given to European children? Because to the best of my knowledge, Meta has made no public comment on whether it will do the same, and in fact, it disagreed with the findings of July 10th. They also raised the potential, I'm really sorry about how long this question is.
They also raised the potential for asking a court to restrict access. I think they just want to make sure that the threat is on the table, kind of a bit like the anti-coercion instrument. And so they also question whether Madam President is committed to children, considering the Commission speaks but does not deliver. So I'd like to know, in light of what I would say is quite a harsh letter from EPP MEPs as well, what does the Commission say? Thank you.
