Order. Order. We are now sitting in public, and the proceedings are being broadcast. We continue line by line scrutiny of the armed forces build. Before we begin, have a few preliminary reminders for committee members.
Please switch off electronic devices or switch them to silent. And no food and drinks are permitted during the sitters other than the water provided. Hansard colleagues would be grateful if members could email their speaking notes to [email protected] or alternatively pass their written speaking notes to Hans to a Hansard colleague in the room. Members are reminded to bop and catch my eye if they wish to speak in any debate. The selection list for today's sitting is available in the room on and on the parliamentary website.
This shows how the clauses, schedules and selected amendments have been grouped together for debate. I remind members that amendments may be tabled during recess. Amendments for consideration at first meeting after the recess on the April 14 must be tabled no later than 04:30PM on Tuesday Thursday, April 9. Amendments for consideration at the meeting on the April 16 must be tabled no later than the rise of the house on Monday, April 13. We begin with group six, amendment seven proposed to clause three.
