Thank you all for joining us in the International Development Select Committee's inquiry on the scale of the climate crisis and its impact. We're particularly looking in this session at Latin America. We're really fortunate to be joined by two experts and activists. I wonder if I could ask each of you to introduce yourselves and the the organization or the area that you're going to bring your experience to us today. I wonder, Deborah, could I ask you to introduce yourself first, please?

Yes. I'm greeting you in my native language. I'm from the mosquito community in the Eastern Side Of Honduras. My name is Deborah Sanchez, and I've been supporting and working on my community on land rights, titling, and environmental issues since my youth when I first joined the movement as a youth leader in my community. And now I am the director of the community land rights and conservation forest initiative.
It's a funding mechanisms. And I am coming here to support and give my thoughts and experiences around both my life in my community and in how we have been doing on on vulnerability and climate change and and and resilience, and as well, my expertise, as the direct access to funding for indigenous peoples, local community, and Afro descendant.
