I mean, I think two things I would, offer. One is the Victorian state system of controlling the number of signs. I think it's quite effective and quite reasonable because politics is a winner takes all game. And if you're in it, you're in it to win it. And I think that you sometimes get drawn down a pathway of trying to match behavior because it is a winner takes all game.
If there's a clear regulation that is enforced that says that at any polling place, including a pre polling place, you can only have x number of signs, I think that would be a very worthwhile initiative. And the other thing is the perimeter within which the AEC has authorization. At a lot of booths, which, of course, are compromises in many circumstances, like Q Pre poll walls at a very narrow footpath with, footpath furniture, with post boxes. It was a very, very awkward thing to enforce the six meter rule, and I would recommend that that is increased to at least some extent. And then there is some better way for AEC officers to be supported to enforce that.
