Good. Alright. I, to clear open this public hearing, the standing committee on health, aged care, and disabilities inquiry into the health impacts of alcohol and other drugs in Australia. I'd like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands from which we meet today and pay my respects to their ancestors and elders past, present, and emerging. I extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultural and spiritual connections to Australia's lands and waters.
I would also like to acknowledge the Karrawal aboriginal, health service in my own electorate of Cam... Of MacArthur and thank them for their support over many years. In accordance with the committee's resolution of the 08/21/2025, this hearing will be broadcast on the parliament's website, and the proof and official transcripts of proceedings will be published on the inquiry website. I remind members of the media of the need to fairly and accurately report the proceedings of the committee. I remind all stakeholders who are present before us in ensuring the safety and privacy of individuals during these proceedings.
This includes avoiding the use of names or identifying details when referring to other parties and, ensuring that any discussion is respectful, appropriate, and consistent with our shared responsibility to maintain a safe environment. I invite members of the committee to introduce themselves and, start with miss Stanley.
