House Standing Committee on Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water Australian Parliament
15:16 - 16:40
Speaker 25
Welcome to our witnesses on the screen. You can hear me okay? Yep. Terrific. Okay.
So we will open the public hearing. I declare open this public hearing of the House Standing Committee on Climate Change, Energy, Environment, and Water for its inquiry into solar panel reuse and recycling in Australia. I'm Anne Urquhart. I'm the dep... I'm the chair of the committee.
And I have with me miss Emma Comer. We have mister Colin Boyce, and we have mister Dan Ripacoli. And there will be a couple of others that are joining us who have just, had to step out for a moment. So I begin by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the lands on which we meet today and pay my respects to their elders past and present. I also extend that respect to any aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples joining us today.
In accordance with the committee's resolution, this hearing will be broadcast on the parliament's website, and the proof and official transcript of proceedings will also be published on the parliament's website. I'll remind all that, as chair, I will ensure that proceedings are conducted respectful and courteous way. Those present here today are advised that filming and recording are permitted during the hearing. I remind members of the media who may be present or listening on the web, of the need to fairly and accurately report the proceedings of the committee. So I now welcome representatives from the CSIRO to give evidence.
