We'll get started. Before I declare or open the joint standing committee on the National Capital and External Territories biannual public briefing with the National Capital Authority, I'd like to begin by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet today and pay my respects to their ancestors and their elders past, present, and future and extend this respect to any First Nations people joining us today and also, those of the areas in which, members and senators are joining us online today. In accordance with the committee's resolution on the 08/19/2025, this hearing will be broadcast on the parliament's website, and the proof and official transcripts transcripts of proceedings will be published on the parliament's website.
I remind members of the media who may be present or listening on the web of the need to fairly and accurately report the proceedings of the committee. To assist with the transcription of the public hearing, it would be appreciated if everyone could please state their name before responding to each question. And I would also like to induce... I'm Alicia Payne, and we have deputy chair Andrew McLaughlin joining us online, senator Pocock, and we also have Renee Coffey, MP, Henry Pike, MP, and senator Charlotte Walker, joining us online as well today.
