Challenges of actually getting them into the country and allowing them to work in the same way as an Australian apprentice.  It's time consuming.  There's lots of paperwork, and it's financially expensive as well.  That's another source of difficulty we think in the industry.

Just quickly, why is it so hard, to get, to fill our apprenticeship numbers and grow our apprenticeship?  A member of my family just signed up for an electrician's apprenticeship, and and there are pay issues.  I mean, why why are we struggling here so much?

Yeah.  It's it's a it's a really good question.  It's obviously one we're very interested in in in resolving as an organization.  Partly, it's down to pay.  When you're an apprentice, you're not nearly close being 100% productive.

You receive low pay, and you're also receiving training and learning resources from your host employer for the time that you're there.  So a lot of the time, people who may be in the zone or in the frame to consider doing apprentices guess, you know, we get outbid.  The people who would host apprentices get outbid by people.  You know, it's bit of an issue today.  I remember when I first came to Australia back in 2012, a huge issue for the housing industry was that apprentices were just able to earn far more money working on the mining sites.
