House of Representatives Australian Parliament
10:06 - 11:23
Speaker 17
I acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples who are the traditional custodians of the Canberra area and pay respects to the elders past and present of all Australia's indigenous peoples. Almighty God, we humbly beseech thee to vouchsafe thy blessing upon this Parliament. Direct and prosper our deliberations to the advancement of thy glory and the true welfare of the people of Australia. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen. Before I call the member for Dunkley, I'm pleased to advise the House that in the gallery today we are recognizing the Youth Parliament members from across Australia. We look forward to welcoming all of the youth members and we will shortly be formally launching the program with Her Excellency the Governor-General at the conclusion of this morning.
