House Standing Committee on Primary Industries Australian Parliament
15:50 - 17:13
Speaker 1
Okay, well welcome committee and also to the secretariat of the committee and those who are joining us online. My name's Jamie Chaffey, I'm the deputy chair of the Primary Industries Committee. The chair unfortunately will not be able to join us today so I'll be chairing today's hearing. So welcome to you all. I'll start by an opening statement and I declare open the public hearing of the Standing Committee of Primary Industries inquiry into factors shaping social license and economic development outcomes in critical minerals projects across Australia.
I acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land from which we meet today and pay respect to the elders past, present of the indigenous people all across Australia. This hearing will be audio broadcast and the transcript of proceedings will be published on the parliamentary website. I invite members of the committee now if you could please introduce yourself and I'm not sure who your main spokesman might be but on our screen we can see Sandy, can see Charles Roche, Nigel, is it Philippe and Lian. Okay, so maybe I'll let you decide who would like to start with the introduction.
17:13 - 17:20
Speaker 10
Okay, thank you and good morning honorable members. I'll introduce our submission and our evidence this morning.
17:20 - 17:44
Speaker 7
What we might do, sorry, what we might do before we get into that is maybe just let us know who you are and what your position might be and then we'll go one, I'll introduce our team that are here in the members of parliament and then we'll move forward with the witness statement.
