contact with Ms James regarding her termination. And who in that process was involved in those communications? Was it just the Commissioner or was it other people within the APSC? I'd also like to understand as part of the brief that was provided to the Prime Minister recommending Ms James's termination from the Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, whether Ms James was given the opportunity to make any comments before a decision was taken around her termination. I would imagine that that would be an important part of a termination process and that would be something that the APSC would have some say in.

Speaker 2
Okay. As a matter of process, I would imagine that the APSC would seek to ensure that due process was followed, that every opportunity for Ms James to comment before a decision was taken or any departmental secretary, right, let's put Ms James aside, that there was a chance for the departmental secretary that was being terminated to respond.
