Speaker 1
Order. Order. Welcome, everybody, to this oral evidence session of the education select committee. This is the second of two evidence sessions that we are holding as a committee on the topic of screen time and social media. And the purpose of these two sessions is to enable the committee to be informed in the contribution that we want to submit to the government's consultation on screen time and social media, which is currently underway.
So we're very grateful to our witnesses for being with us this particularly as some of our witnesses are sharing direct personal experience of the impact that the lack of regulation of screen time and social media has had on their lives to date. So we grateful for that. I will invite our witnesses in turn to introduce yourselves to us this morning. And if you would, make any relevant declarations about the funding that you or your organization receive for the work that you're doing in this area. I I hope you'll understand why transparency on that is important for this debate.
I'll start with Ronnie Govender,
