Speaker 1
Draft asylum seekers reception conditions amendment regulations 2026.
00:06 - 00:48
Speaker 2
Those members of the committee paying close attention will have noticed we have two instruments to consider.  Is it therefore the wish of the committee that the instruments be debated together?  Aye.  Thank you.  In that case we shall do that.

I will now call the minister to move the first motion and speak to both instruments.  At the end of the debate I will put the question on the first motion and then ask the minister to move the second motion formally.  Of course, if we are to be interrupted by votes, I will suspend the committee, votes in the chamber that is, I will suspend the committee for fifteen minutes for the first vote and ten minutes for any subsequent votes so everyone knows where we stand.  I call the minister to move the first motion.  Minister.

Thank you, sir Jeremy.
