Order. Order. Welcome to this meeting of the Culture Media and Sports Select Committee. Today, we're taking further evidence on Baroness Hodge's review of the Arts Council England. Having heard before Easter from Baroness Hodge herself, we are now turning our attention to how the Arts Council have responded.
And so joining us today are Darren Henley, CBE, the chief executive of Arts Council England, and sir Nicholas Sirota, who is the chair of Arts Council England. A huge welcome to both of you. Thank you very much for joining us. Before we begin, does any members have any interest that they need to declare? No.
I don't think so. So I'm going to start off the questioning, gentlemen, if I can. Arts Council have accepted all the recommendations of the the Hodge review. How challenging will it be for you to deliver what is being asked for you by by both the review and the government's response to it, Darren?

Speaker 2
We're really grateful to Baroness Hodge for the work that she put into to the review and also for all of the people across the country, whether they be individual artists or art organizations, museums, libraries, who contributed to that. So one of the things we want to do is to listen and to learn. And as you can see in our response, we've got a very detailed timetable of what we're gonna do early on. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but we are absolutely determined to to make those changes. We want to make sure that we're an organization that is easy to work with, easy to apply to, and where you'll see a real difference.
