So I'm going to kick off the first question. Before I do that, can I just ask you perhaps from starting at this side to give us your names and your job?

Hello everyone, I'm James Hopgood. I'm a professor and dean in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Edinburgh And relevant to this committee, I'm director of Essential for Doctoral Training in Sensing Processing and AI for Defense and Security. That CDT aims to train 80 PhD students in the defense and security sector over the next five years. And the training for those PhDs is, the PhD students themselves have become the bedrock of innovation, foundations of startup companies, and will be future leaders in the area of defense and security. I also do work in defense research myself, so University of Edinburgh, also all the Scottish universities together.
They do training in substantial STEM subjects, and, they do substantial research, novel research in frontier technologies such as AI, photonics, robotics, and quantum. And I've been working in this area for over twenty five years. Thank you.
