Speaker 1
Three, two, one. Order, order. Welcome to the Treasury Select Committee on Wednesday, 03/25/2026. Today, we're continuing our examination of the government's recently published financial inclusion strategy. And I'm delighted to welcome today experts who represent, well, consumer interests and specifically the interests of people who might have particular challenges through financial exclusion for various reasons.
So I'm delighted to welcome from my left to right Emma Stone, who's the Director of Evidence and Engagement at the Good Things Foundation Kate Pender, who is Chief Executive of Fair For All Finance Helen Undy, OBE, who is Chief Executive of Money and Mental Health Policy Institute and Michelle Hyman, who is the Chief Executive of the Money Charity. So a very warm welcome to you all. And we we may be interrupted by votes. If we do, we will come back after those votes. But in in the meantime, I'm going to ask Catherine West MP to kick off, miss West.

Speaker 2
Thank you very much, Day Meg. The first question is what the overall assessment of the panel is of the strategy. What does it get right? Where does it fall short? And perhaps I can move this way towards starting with Ms.
Hyman and finishing with Ms. Stone.
