Intervenant 2
Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the California Public Utilities Commission's Enbanc Hearing on Electric Costs and Can We Afford the Future? My name is Mary Claire Brown, or NC, and coincidentally I will be your MCE for today. I'm an interim energy advisor to our new Commissioner Darcy Houck, and until very recently I was an advisor to Commissioner Charoma. We have a really great agenda planned today, a very packed agenda, so I'm just going to briefly cover some housekeeping items and then I'll hand it over to President Badger to kick off opening remarks. So all the materials for this en banc, including the agenda, slides, and the white paper, are available on the CPUC en banc web page.
So for those watching the webcast online, you can find the link to that web page right below the video window. And for the virtual DAIS members, I'll put a link to that in the chat. The structure of the day, we'll begin with opening remarks, then energy division staff will present on the white paper that was released last week, then we'll have three panel discussions with our panels of experts, one in the morning and two in the afternoon, followed by closing remarks from Commissioner Schiroma, and then we will have half an hour for public comments. So during the panel sessions, only members of the virtual dais will be able to ask questions of the panelists, So we will not be taking questions from the public during that time. After the last panel and after closing remarks, we will have half an hour for public comments that will likely start at 04:15 p.
M. And you'll be able to call in, and we'll provide more directions about how to do that closer to the end of the day. We've also created a dedicated email inbox for this event, and members of the public can submit informal written comments to that inbox at any time. The email address is [email protected], and you can also find that address on the agenda and our event webpage and the webcast webpage that you're watching now. And the last thing I'll say is this event is being recorded and will be available for viewing afterwards on the CPUC webpage.
