Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to this press conference following today's Eckhoffin Council meeting. We are joined by our Minister of Finance, Mr. Magis Keravnos, and by the European Commissioner for Economy, Productivity, Implementation and Simplification, Mr. Valtis Dobrovsky. Will first give the floor to our Finance Minister, who will take you through the main points that were discussed during this morning's council.

Thank you, Maria. Good afternoon, and thank you for joining us today at this press conference following the Echofin meeting. I will take you through the main points addressed this morning, and I will then be available to take your questions. The Echoing Council started with the customary informal breakfast. The commission briefed us on the latest economic developments, in particular in light of the recent geopolitical events and their possible impact.
In this context, I inform my colleagues about the situation in Cyprus and express my deepest appreciation for the solitary and support extended immediately to my country by our EU partners. In this respect, allow me to take the opportunity to publicly thank Greece, France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands for their tangible support. This support highlights the importance of European unity and solidarity. During the breakfast, we also briefly heard from the European Central Bank, while the Eurogroup president informed us on the outcome of the discussions held at yesterday's Eurogroup meeting. The European Investment Bank also provided us with information on the contribution of the European Investment Bank to the Savings and Investment Union.
