Good morning. Welcome to the CASF workshop. My name is Selena Huang, and I'm the program manager for the communications division's broadband, video, and market branch. Thank you for joining us today. We hope to use this opportunity to consult with various stakeholders on cost effective strategies for expanding broadband access in unserved areas of the state.
I'm pleased to be here with commissioner Hauk, deputy director Alice, the CASF team, colleagues from other broadband programs, and grantees and stakeholders as we work together to reach the CASF program goal and bridge the digital divide. Next slide, please. Here's the agenda for today's workshop. I will provide some quick CASF program highlights. Commissioner Hauke, deputy director Alice, and the team will provide more details.
We also have the broadband public housing account and tribal technical assistance panels and information regarding the CPUC's broadband programs. There will be a Q and A session. So the CASF program has helped close the digital divide in California by providing subsidies to build and expand broadband facilities to unserved areas of the state. Currently, the CASF program is allocated to the following six the Broadband Infrastructure Grant Account, the Line Extension Program, Tribal Technical Assistance Program, Rural and Urban Regional Broadband Consortium Grant Account, the broadband adoption account, and the broadband public housing account. In 2023, the CPUC continued to approve grants to provide broadband access to eligible households.
