My Lords, I have it in command from His Majesty the King to deliver to your Lordships a message signed with his own hand.

My Lords, the message is as follows. His Majesty, being desirous that the provision made by Parliament for the financial support of the Royal Household should be considered, asks the Lords Spiritual and Temporal to concur in the adoption of such measures as the House of Commons may propose as suitable.
My Lords, I have to notify the House, in accordance with the Royal Assent Act 1967, that His Majesty the King has signified his Royal Assent to the following Acts: Supply and Appropriation (Main Estimates) Act, Taxation (Energy and Vehicles) Act, Steel Industry (Nationalisation) Act, Cheltenham Borough Council (Markets) Act.
