Justice and Home Affairs Committee House of Lords
00:01 - 00:40
Speaker 1
Yes, very good, thanks. Good. Uh... Thanks, Lee. Right.
Welcome. Order, order, the meeting is now being recorded and public proceedings are beginning. Five, four... Welcome, and welcome everybody to this fifth oral evidence session of the Justice and Home Affairs Select Committee into fire safety in prisons. And we're delighted to welcome three new witnesses, and I'm going to ask you if you could each just introduce yourselves, your title, and a broad description of what you actually do.
Who'd want to kick off, please?
00:40 - 00:56
Speaker 8
Thank you. Good morning. My name is Andy Fry. I'm the joint Chief Inspector of Crown Premises Fire Safety Inspection and former Chief Fire Officer. In conjunction with my job partner, who you'll hear from in a second, we're responsible for overseeing the work of the inspectorate.
