Good morning and welcome to this meeting of the Scottish Affairs Committee where we would like to discuss with our colleagues from Ofcom issues relating to STV and also probably a little bit about Gaelic broadcasting as well. So very grateful to you for coming along this morning and giving us your time. Could you just briefly introduce yourselves and say what your role is? Thank you.

I'm Glenn Preston. Thank you, Chair, very much for having us. I'm Glenn Preston, Ofcom's Scotland Director. So I head the Ofcom Scotland team, which is based up in our Edinburgh office, where we represent Ofcom right across our regulatory responsibilities, and I'm Ofcom's senior leader in Scotland. We have about 130 colleagues based in Edinburgh now who do a whole range of jobs across Ofcom's regulatory responsibility.

Thank you. And I'm Cristina Nicolotti Squires. I'm the Group Director of Broadcasting and Media at Ofcom. So I lead the team that carries out our regulation.
I joined Ofcom a couple of years ago after 35 years in journalism.
