Home Affairs Committee House of Commons
00:12 - 00:42
Speaker 5
Order, order. Can I welcome our witnesses for this evidence session on the impact of serious and organised crime on local neighbourhoods. This has been a very interesting enquiry for all of us because this is something that every single one of us can see in our own constituencies and I feel I've learned an awful lot about some of the stores on my high street and what might be going on behind the doors. So it's been very fascinating for us. I'm going to ask the witnesses to introduce themselves then we're going to questions.
So I'll start with you Mr Court.
00:42 - 00:49
Speaker 4
Okay, my name is Paul Court, I'm the Deputy Chief Constable of Sussex Police and I'm also the drugs lead for the National Police Chiefs' Council. It's nice to meet you.
00:49 - 01:06
Speaker 3
Good morning, my name is David Sidwick, I'm the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset. I'm also the co-chair of the addiction and substance misuse portfolio for all of the PCCs and I've got 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry as experience which might be useful.
