Justice Committee Actual start House of Commons
25:07 - 25:44
Speaker 2
Order, order. Welcome to this afternoon's session of the Justice Committee. We're starting slightly later than usual, but it's an important session which is looking at the Immigration and Asylum Bill, which has its first reading, second reading in the House of Commons next Monday. I'll ask our witnesses to introduce themselves in a moment, but first we will do our declarations of interest by members of the committee and those guesting on the committee from the Home Affairs and Joint Human Rights Committees, beginning with Sarah Russell.
25:44 - 25:46
Speaker 1
Good afternoon. My name's Sarah Russell.
25:47 - 26:00
Speaker 7
I'm a solicitor with a current practicing certificate. My full declarations are on the register, but the most pertinent are that I'm a member of various trade unions and that I chair the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Access to Justice.
26:00 - 26:06
Speaker 3
I'm Ashley Fox, the Member for Bridgwater. I'm a former solicitor and my interests are on the register.
