Welcome to this morning's meeting of the Science and Technology Select Committee. We are very pleased this morning to have as our witness Dr. Kathleen Fisher, who is the CEO of ARIA, that is the Advanced Research and Invention Agency. Dr. Fisher, we're very happy to have you here. I'd like to ask the first question. You took over as CEO of ARIA in February of this year.
So by way of an opening statement, perhaps you could set out for us your key priorities for the role and how you think your approach will differ as ARIA matures as an organisation. So would you like to start?

Thank you very much for the question and the opportunity to meet with you today. I'm Kathleen Fisher, as you said, I'm the CEO of ARIA. I've been in post since February. When my predecessor Ilan met with you, ARIA was in its infancy and at this point ARIA is actually starting to deliver on its promise, which is really exciting. At this point we have more than 300 creators who are working on various projects across 15 different programmes and we are starting to see really exciting results coming out of those programmes that I'd be happy to talk to you about in more detail throughout the time that we have together.
