Committee Actual start House of Commons
23:18 - 23:50
Speaker 1
Order, order.
Welcome to this session of the Justice Committee. This is the second session of our youth justice inquiry and focus on sentencing in youth justice cases and community-based alternatives to custody. For our second panel, we'll be hearing from the Children's Commissioner, but first, we're hearing from the Youth Justice Board and the Youth Justice Legal Centre. Before we begin our questioning, the members of the committee will need to briefly make their direct declarations of interest. So can I start actually?
23:50 - 23:59
Speaker 2
Good afternoon, I'm Ashley Fox, the member for Bridgwater. I'm a former solicitor and my interests are on the register.
