Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories Australian Parliament
51:51 - 53:11
Speaker 5
Good morning everyone. I declare open this public hearing of the Joint Standing Committee on National Capital and External Territories for its inquiry into the National Capital Plan Amendment Number 102, Hume Circle Precinct. Today the committee is meeting in Canberra. I'd like to begin by acknowledging the traditional custodians on the land on which we meet today, the Ngunnawal people, for which and pay my respects to their elders past, present and emerging, and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with close connection to this region and any First Nations people joining us today in the room or over the online. In accordance with the committee's resolution of 27th of August this year, last year, the hearing will be audio broadcast on the Parliament's website and the proof and official transcripts of proceedings will be published on the inquiry website.
I remind members of the media of the need to fairly and accurately report proceedings of the committee. And I welcome the NCA. Do I need to... yes. I welcome representatives from the National Capital Authority. For the Hansard record, could you please state your full name and the capacity in which you appear before the committee.
Thank you.
