00:06 - 00:30
Speaker 1
Well, welcome to Jenna Julius, John Andrews and Pepe Di'Iasio to this second oral session of this short inquiry into falling school rolls in the primary. We're very grateful for your time this morning and we'll go straight into the session and if you wouldn't mind briefly introducing yourselves.
00:30 - 00:58
Speaker 9
Thank you so much for having me here today. I'm Jenna Julius, I'm a research director at the National Foundation for Educational Research, NFER, and I lead our work on education systems and structures, which includes our work on falling pupil rolls. The NFER is an education charity whose mission is to support positive change in education systems and we do this by producing research and evidence on education policy and practice.
00:58 - 01:21
Speaker 11
Good morning, my name is Pepe Di'Iasio and I represent the Association of School and College Leaders. We have 20, well over 25,000 school and college leaders ranging from assistant head teachers all the way through to chief executives and we have over 1,500 leaders in the primary sector.
01:21 - 01:41
Speaker 4
I'm John Andrews, I'm head of analysis at the Education Policy Institute. We also carry out research from the early years through to schools and into the labour market. I lead on our school system and performance work, so that includes how we structure the school system and work on pupil numbers and school funding as well.
