Industry and Regulators Committee Actual start House of Lords
17:58 - 18:50
Speaker 1
Good morning and welcome to this, which is the fourth session of the Industry and Regulators Select Committee, which is doing an inquiry on the relationship between the government and the defense and related industries. My name is Dianne Hayter and I will introduce other members of the committee as they, as they put questions. This is being broadcast live on the Parliament channel and there will be a full Hansard record taken. You'll have the chance to look at that in case they've misheard any words you used and after that, that will also be up on the website.
So we do have some questions for you, but if you would like to both just introduce yourselves first, that would be helpful.
18:50 - 19:23

Good morning. My name is Chris Blackford, I'm the director of strategy at Monster CAM. Monster CAM is based on the south coast and we are a supplier of large-scale composite patterns, molds and components. So if you think in sort of very simple terms, marine market, we build superstructures on very large yachts and then in the defense space, which we're here for today, we build hulls and structures for subsurface and surface vessels.
